DECEMBER 2007

Quo Vadis is currently rehearsing with a brand new lineup. For updates on the new members click here.
The new band members add a lot of experience and talent our band and we're planning some exciting changes to the show for 2008 and beyond.

Welcome aboard Lee, Danny and Trent!!

DECEMBER 2006

After a few busy months early in the year, Quo Vadis played a blinder at the Redcliffe Leagues Club. During the latter part of 2006 Quo Vadis have taken some time off from touring after six years of constant tours ,however our tour calendar is filling up for 2007 so please our gig calendar for more details of upcoming shows. February 10th starts off 2007 with a bang at one of our favourite venues. For all of our Quo Vadis fans we wish you a Merry and safe Christmas and a Happy New Year.

MARCH 2006

Quo Vadis kicked off 2006 in style at the Arana Leagues Club with one of best ever gigs. Some video the gig soon on this site.
April/May 2006 sees the great Status Quo touring Australia with Deep Purple. Quo Vadis members of course will be attending many of their gigs and hope to catch
up with the lads when Quo Vadis performs a special "after Quo party" at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel, Gold Coast immediately after the Status Quo Twin Towns concert on the 6th May. All Quo fans attending the concert are of course invited to attend this event which is just 5 minutes away from Twin Towns. We'll even invite Quo along!
Please see the Gigs section for more information on this special performance.

SEPTEMBER 2005

We've added some new songs to the setlist including the classic "Just Take Me" with our John "Coghlan" Cardno thumping out some brilliant drumming and Tina doing a fine job on the Lancaster vocals. Ring of a Change, the ultimate Quo song is now going down well with our supporters as well as a full version of 4500 Times, a true Quo classic. We've got some more changes planned for 2006 to keep all our regulars happy. Our final gigs for the year include a double header on Oct 21/22 and a special 40 Anniversary gig on Sunday 20th November at the Pine Rivers Bowls Club where we will have some special guests direct from Germany (Hi Helen!) so hope you can all make it to this big Quo party. Fri Oct 21st is a new venue for QV at the Four Mile Creek Hotel , Strathpine and looks to be a great regular venue for us. Hope to see you all again soon.

AUGUST 2005

Quo Vadis's recording of the early Status Quo hit "Down The Dustpipe" was recently used by the BBC in the DVD release of "The Big Train" a UK comedy series released worldwide.

FEBRUARY 2005

Happy New Year to all our Quo Vadis supporters!. This year we hope to be touring to a venue near you! Some new classic Quo songs coming up in the set as well with our recent addition of "Over and Done" we have a few more surprise inclusions during the year. Its certainly nice to play these classic tracks "live" as Quo have been requested to over the years. Tina and Tony returned from their "Study Tour" to the UK for a few Quo concerts. Unfortunatley Francis got ill with bronchitus so we only caught the one show at the Birmingham NEC but that was an amazing concert. With Status Quo not touring Australia until at least 2006 you better make sure you get out to a Quo Vadis gig to experience some "live" Quo. Possibility of a New Zealand tour late 2005/ early 2006 and some North Qld gigs in June, with Gladstone confirmed.

This year we also have some new lighting and production which makes a big impact on the show.

Hope to see you soon.

SEPTEMBER 2004

Check out the new Quo Vadis / Status Quo Message Board here at www.ozquo.com/bb

This board is to provide a discussion forum for Quo Vadis and Status Quo fans from all around the globe.

AUGUST 2004

NEW DRUMMER

With the departure of our previous drummer , we'd like to welcome aboard to Quo Vadis our newest band member and drummer John Cardno. John is a serious Quo fan following Status Quo since the mid 70s and is a very experienced musician and drummer.

For more info on John please click here to read his biography. John plays his kit in the true spirit of John Coghlan, so expect to hear a Coghlan feel when you next see Quo Vadis. We've revisited a few songs as well and revamped up the set quite a bit .

We've also just returned from a quick trip to Sydney via Coffs Harbour for a private 50th birthday bash for a serious Quo fan. We had a great time down there and Steve and his partner Marie really looked after the band and made us feel welcome. But I think we all agreed that was the Coldest gig we have played!

We plan to do some recording in October with our new studio recorder so keep an eye out on the website for some new audio clips.

JUNE 2004

The Band has had a rare quiet month where we have been rehearsing some new material for our upcoming shows.

Just a few changes but we think that they will add to the show, certainly some Classic Quo songs in there.

Next week we head off to Nhulunby (Gove) which is a mining town in the Northern Territory who are mad keen on getting a Quo fix with Quo Vadis.

4 hours via Cairns for the band but should be a fun gig! We're off down south in early August for a rare "private show".

Some possible future gigs on the horizon include Gladstone in December and looking ahead to next year we're still keen on taking Quo Vadis to Europe in the Summer of 2005 to celebrate Quo's 40th Anniversary. Also had some interest from NZ.

Look forward to getting back into it for the upcoming gigs. Cya all soon . Tony .

FEBRUARY 2004

David Cleminson (our original Francis Rossi) has rejoined Quo Vadis after a couple of years away.

The band would like to welcome Dave back aboard and we have some exciting new set changes planned for this year.

We've just landed a gig in remote crocodile country , Gove NT at the Arnhem Club. We have a 4 hour plane trip to get there on June 19th.

Should be a lot of fun !! More news soon.

JANUARY 2004

Happy New Year to you all and we're all set for a Rockin' 2004 !!

Some of the plans for Quo Vadis in 2004 include some major set changes with songs never played before "live" by the mighty Quo
We are currently in reheasal and plan to roll these out during 2004.
This year we are also planning a tour to Sydney and hopefully back again to Darwin and North Qld in the winter.

Members of Quo Vadis together with our best friends saw in the New Year at QV Headquarters and had a jolly Margarita Time!

We also plan to record again this year , so watch this space .

Looking ahead , 2005 will be the 40th Anniversary of Status Quo and some big celebrations are being planned in the UK.
We plan to take Quo Vadis to Europe in 2005 and join in the fun . We'd like to play some gigs in the UK, Germany,Holland and Sweden

Well thats it for now and the guys and gal from Quo Vadis look forward to catching up with old and new fans alike at a venue near you.
Please keep posted to our gig guide as this changes quite regularly.

SEPTEMBER 2003

The North Qld trip to Ayr and Gladstone is hotting up, just heard from the Promoter in Ayr that a group of 50 are coming down from Townsville , should be a great weekend and hope to meet many new QV fans as well.

We've had a lot of good feedback from our website and thank to everyone who has contributed.
Tina and I are expecting two brand new Teles , well exact replicas of Rick's and Francis famous Green and White Teles to be exact. They've been ordered from the UK from a specialist guitar maker ( Hi Telemaster) and we are looking forward to them arriving soon.

Catch you all soon at a venue near you !

JULY 2003

We have a North Queensland short Tour confirmed in early October. You can catch Quo Vadis at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre on Fri Oct 3rd and the Burdekin Theatre in Ayr on Sat 4th October. Sunday the 5th is being looked at as well. Should be a good trip away with some nice venues for us to cut loose on stage.

The band is working on some new material for inclusion in the set . New tracks will include Creepin' Up on You,Gerdundula and The Oriental at this stage with more to come. We hope to spice up the show with the new material although the current set has been going extremely well with the audience.

Recently we had a special gig at the Gaythorne RSL which is a terrific venue for us , and to top it off it was our biggest fan Phil's 50th Birthday. We had a special guest Mr Paul Parfitt from Newcastle come up especially for the show and it was a terrific night all round. Phil's son Geoff organised a special cake and the band played a rare version of 4500 Times on the night (with guest guitarist David Cleminson - our original Rossi!) The band also presented Phil with a Quo Vadis jacket for the special day.

We've got a busy few months ahead with some new venues so we hope to see all our regulars and some new fans again soon. Colin our merchandiser has also prepared some new QV material including a variety of keyrings ! Col is also our official roadie.

FEBRUARY 2003

Quo Vadis hopes all our fans and followers have had a great Xmas and Happy New Year and returned for a Rocking 2003.

Members of the band have had a well earned vacation for a few weeks in January. Tony and Tina did some skiiing in Canada and have come back refreshed for 2003.

Just some updates on gigs , unfortunately due to reasons beyond our control the gig scheduled for Emerald has been cancelled and the Mackay gig postponed to October. Instead we are doing a small tour of SW Qld visiting Roma and Dalby in March .

Now confirmed is news that our idols Status Quo will be touring Oz in April 2003 , so we will be attending their gigs and hope to catch up again with the lads whose music we are all about . We have recsheduled the Gladstone gig to October.

Keep an eye out for news on potential tours of Townsville , Sydney , Gosford and New Zealand in 2003 . Europe now scheduled for 2004/5.

Of course we have our regular venues at Caloundra RSL and Vic Point Sharks , so hope to see you all again soon .

Remember to check the gig guide befor travelling . Also we will have our new Live CD "Roadhouse Blues" and DVD for sale at our gigs now.

We've just updated our website with new Video Clips so check them out .

DECEMBER 2002

This month is dedicated to the great new album of Status Quo - HEAVY Traffic
The band has changed their stage outfit to match the theme of Heavy Traffic and included two songs of the new album in their set: Jam Side down & All Stand up (Never say Never). Both songs receive a huge response from the punters - especially All Stand Up which is on the best way of becoming one of the typical Quo anthems.

In addition, Quo Vadis has recorded one of their recent live concerts which will soon be released in form of a new Live Album. Also, this month has found the band again back in the studio to record two songs: All Stand Up and the Brits Awards Medley. The latter will be the feature song for the upcoming Video of Quo Vadis ....
